This project was funded by PACT, Mercy Corps(USAID) for a period of 5 years (2015-2019) for KSH 29,472,578.
Key Achievements:
Strengthened cross-border security through local community security initiatives and intergovernmental meetings in Moroto, Kotido and Kaabong districts(Uganda)and Loima sub county(Kenya)
Enhanced early warning information sharing among non-State peace actors, government security personnel and PEACE III established structures such as Women forum, chief’s forum, peace committee/cross border natural resource management committee, Kraal youth and youth councils.
Increased community driven initiatives towards sharing of resources and ownership of resource sharing agreements.
Improved administrative systems and processes for cross-border conflict mitigation and management.
Improved community access to economic opportunities and diversified livelihood options.
Strengthened women’s leadership; focusing on capacity, representation and the creation of an enabling environment.
Enhanced organizational capacity through OCAs and supported development of Strategic Plan (2017-2021).
Supported review of organizational policies and financial audit of the organization
