Project Goal and Objective:
Enhancing Peaceful coexistence, cooperation and collaboration among communities through the strengthening of local capacities for peace along the borderlands of the Loima-Moroto corridor by January 2025
Expected Outcomes
• Strengthened cross-border collaboration and Cooperation among peace structures mechanisms and stakeholders.
• Improved implementation of cross-border agreements/resolutions and peaceful resource management for sustainable peace
Target Audience:
The action will target Loima Sub-County and Moroto District and its environs within the corridor. Proposed locations that may be targeted by the action include: Lorengkippi/Loya, Lokiriama and Urum(Loima) and Kobebe,, Tapac,and Naput/Nakiloro ( Moroto) .
Coupled with inter-community conflict with neighboring North Pokot , the action will also target Naoyapong bordering Loya Sub-Location in Loima Sub county.The action will target Elders, youth and women, Religious and community leaders, PWDS, Natural Resource Management committees, Peace committees, Security personnel’s, local, County and National Governments, Line ministries and Private Sector.
The Action will benefit an approximate of 300 house hold and 2100 indirect beneficiaries.
