Responding To Emerging And Protracted Humanitarian Needs in Turkana West and Lokichogio Sub-County
This project is funded by the SIDA/DANISH REFUGEE COUNCIL for 8 Months (May 2024-Dec 2024)
Project Approaches:
The Project is designed to employ various approaches including;
• Collaborative, Learning, and Adaptation.
• Strengthening collaboration and networking among partners and stakeholders
• Community-Based Psychosocial Support.
• Strengthen and build local capacities to prepare and respond to emergencies.
Expected Outcomes:
• Increased community awareness on Protection interventions including emergency preparedness and response, Gender-Based Violence prevention and response, PSS, and Gender mainstreaming
• Improved access to safe drinking water for populations affected by drought and recent flooding in Turkana West Sub County and Lokichogio Sub County
• the vulnerable persons received essential non-food items and PSS training addressing their immediate needs and improving their living conditions.
• Strengthened Capacity building and coordination among the stakeholders.
