Women empoerment and gender equity
For societies to thrive, women and girls must have access to education, healthcare, and technology. They must have control of resources, lands, and markets. They must also have equal rights and equal opportunities as breadwinners, peace-builders and leaders.Investing in gender equality and women’s empowerment can unlock human potential on a transformational scale.
APaD’s vision recognizes that greater gender equality means better outcomes for everyone and that the goal of ending extreme poverty will only be achieved if women and girls are at the center of our efforts. Women and girls continue to face profound inequalities in Turkana County, and are often particularly vulnerable to extreme poverty
