This project was funded by PACT and Mercy Corps (USAID) for a period of 5 years (2015-2019)

Key Achievements:

  • Strengthened cross-border security through local community security initiatives and intergovernmental meetings in Moroto, Kotido and Kaabong districts (Uganda)and Loima sub county (Kenya)
  • Enhanced early warning information sharing among non-State peace actors, government security personnel and PEACE III established structures such as Women forum, chief’s forum, peace committee/cross border natural resource management committee, Kraal youth and youth councils.
  • Increased community driven initiatives towards sharing of resources and ownership of resource sharing agreements.
  • Improved administrative systems and processes for cross-border conflict mitigation and management.
  • Improved community access to economic opportunities and diversified livelihood options.
  • Enhanced organizational capacity through OCA, trainings and review of organizational policies and financial audit of the organization.
